A Waterloo Road star from Liverpool now looks unrecognisable since finding fame in the hit-BBC show nine years ago.

Brogan Ellis, from West Derby, played transgender teenager Kacey Barry in the school-based drama.

Brogan, now 26, was 16 when she played the groundbreaking role.

In the show, Brogan's character arrived at Waterloo Road and quickly realised they had gender identity issues. Viewers saw the talented footballer binding their chest with bandages and experiencing a form of gender dysphoria.
