JLS is a difficult artist to trace, in spite of her prolific output. Born Feb 16, 1888 in Augusta, Wisconsin. Death: Nov 1968 - Rockport, Knox, Maine, United States of America.

She also did a lot of work for the Buzza Company. I do not know when she began doing work for them, but I do know that around 1918 or 1919, Buzza began printing Mottoes. JLS did many of these, sometimes unsigned; sometimes signed with a JLS or even a simple "S".

I could not find much at all on Scott, until I learned that she married a woodcut printer and water colorist named Carroll Thayer Berry (his second marriage; apparently her first and only).

She was very well established in her own right by this time. She illustrated greeting cards, calendars, baby books, several issues of
